Our Endless Summer: Double Rainbow!!

On the Monday the 25th, I glanced out the window and saw a really wide rainbow jetting out of the sky and down into the sea. Like I do, I grabbed my trusty camera off the dining table and ran to the elevator to get to the ninth floor and run up winding staircase to the roof. There happened to be an elderly man heading up the stairs with his laundry, so you can imagine me behind him - thinking ahhhh - must get to rainbow. As I rounded the staircase I saw not one arm of the rainbow, but a full double rainbow casting its beam down into the sea on one side and straight down into town on the other. I let out a gasp, and the elderly man just moseyed on into the laundry room as if it was nothing. Guess he has seen a lot of double rainbows in his day. Well I'd never seen such a sight, except for in the infamous youtube "Double Rainbow - What does it mean" video. And I had definitely never seen the true ENDs of both sides of a rainbow. It was SOOO big that I could not get back far enough to get it in all of the photo, but I guess because I was so high up and in the center was why I was able to see down to where each side ended. No pot of gold, but I bet the sailboat that literally got to sail right through the end of the raindbow felt like they were a pot of gold. Hope they went to the casino that night. Oh, and I did not get the shot, but the sight was something else. For a moment when it was raining the hardest and the rainbow color was the strongest, the rays went all the way down to the surf breaks. And for a moment, this one surfer was sitting in the rays... it went so fast tho, that I couldn't put my camera out from under my shirt (to keep dry) in time.
