LION, ELEPHANT AND CHIMP VIDEOS FROM TARONGA ZOO

FAMILIAR ELEPHANT FAMILY
Watch this family of elephants move for cover as it starts to pour rain, just like all the human families run for cover under the same bridge. Then the littlest sibling starts to push his big brother around, and the middle one starts hamming it up, so the mama elephants decides to give him a smack in the head with not her trunk but her foot! (only she ends up taking out the littlest one in the mean time.) As the rain slows down the kids decide it's a good time for a swim, while the  baby chooses to stand on the side and squirt his siblings in the pool.  Mom tries to control the situation but eventually the zoo keepers come out to lure the little ones out of the water before they drown each other. I love how the one starting it all leaves the other under water and unaware that he has been left.  Sneaky, Sneaky.

STARTLED CHIMP
This chimp is twirling his bouquet of leaves just merrily chomping away as a door slams and startles him. Poor guy. Still trying to figure out exactly I was saying out of sympathy for him. I must be getting my Australian language confused with my American or something.

LIONS: UP CLOSE AND PERSONAL
This lioness and then lion came right down to check us out. Pretty cool to stand just inches away from their faces. I have a lot more clips, may eventually put something together with all my animal footage to this song... but for now - this will do.This lion was totally sick of everyone at this point. He came back to yell (roar) at us; but unfortunately for his youtube career the camera didn't pick up the decibel of his roar. I'll vouch for him tho, it could be heard all over the entire zoo.   There are two things I love about this clip, one the Aussie talking to his kid, and two the irony that the fake camera-click sounds are louder than a lions roar on my camera. Seriously, why do we need fake camera sounds? I think the lion would agree with me; the silence would be nice.
