On this particular Saturday (7.16.11) we set out from Manly to get a delicious burger and beer in the Sydney CBD and then hop on a boat that would take us out to sea for some whale scouting. It's whale watching season, and we have to take advantage of the opportunities that come from living here during the winter season. This is one of them. We got to see a handful of humpbacks come up for air, but no breaching - which means we will have to go again sometime in the future, as one of Eric's life goals is to see a whale breach. We then took the boat over to Darlingharbor. We have an Entertainment book with lots of coupons so we pick out places to go based on the best deals, which this time meant (for the fun of it) appetisers at one place and dinner at another. "We will not let you beat us - $80 Entertainment Book." Anyway, China Rita was a very nice suprise as they gave us bowls at our table upon sitting down which we got to fill up with an endless supply of krupuk. Eric was so excited about this as it's one of his favorite treats he remembers having as a kid at restaurant he used to go to his family with in Curacao. After dinner we made our way over to Star City to play some backjack and put a bet in on the US Woman soccer team. A very fun day, won some money and made for a fun reason to wake up early the next day and sadly, watch the US women's soccer team get beat by Japan.
