Tim and Andrea's visit from New Zealand

We were so lucky to have our wonderful LA - Kiwi friends Tim and Andrea come to visit, not one weekend but two weekends in a row. It was so fun to have them here, and two weekends in a row was so much better than only one. They arrived on Friday afternoon from New Zealand and I met them at Circular Quay to ride with them on the ferry back to Manly. We lucked out and started off the weekend with a gorgeous warm day, which continued all the way through Monday night. I got the Kiwis situated at our place, showed them the view from the roof, and we walked down to get a much needed flat white and pastry. We had just enough time to wander over to Shelly Beach and hike around the peninsula (in our flip-flops) and enjoy a chat on a hot rock in the sun over-looking the Bower Break and back across the bay to Manly. We showered up, and met Tim and Andrea's friends (whom we met at their wedding in New Zealand last year) that also live in Sydney over at Manly Wharf Hotel, caught Eric on his way in from the ferry home from work, and headed over to Manly Wines for a fun catch-up birthday dinner for Andrea.
On Saturday the four of us met Michelle over at Darling Harbor and we all went over to Sydney Fish Market to check it out and get some fresh-as-can-be fish and chips and wine. Michelle's company own's the Sydney Tower so after lunch we all went up there to show Tim and Andrea the view.  Sunday the four of us hiked from Watson's Bay to Bondi Beach, and then caught the bus back to Circular Quay and the ferry back to Manly. I can't remember which days were which but we had delicious wine at the Pavilion by their fire one night, pizza with the best ambiance at Hugo's along with 3 other friends of Tim and Andrea's, and checked out a little dive near our house after that.
On Monday Eric was "sick" so we decided the best thing to cure that was a bike ride from Manly up to Curl-Curl. Then, to make sure he really got better, Tim and Andrea picked up some dinner to drill up and he and I paddled some stand-up paddle boards over to Shelly Beach from North Stein, where we met up with them to grill and wine it up. We ended up just having apps there so that we could paddle back before sunset and not have to keep the boards over night (no idea how we would have got them up our elevator or stairs, they are huge.) Tim grilled us up an amazing dinner on the roof and then we all enjoyed the meal around our dinner table (I think it was the first time we ever used it) like four grown-ups listening to Dave Brubeck.  To be honest, I can't remember what we did the next weekend, and I will have to get back to this post later.  Enjoy the pics. Wish everyone could come visit us like they did. :-)

On the ferry with Tim, Andrea and Eric on the ride back to Manly from our Watson's Bay to Bondi Hike.
Lady Bay Beach off Watson's Bay - looking back in direction of Manly
Our hike discovery. The beach is a nude beach and not cats (or dogs) are aloud.

Another view along our hike. Tho can not remember what point this was.
Saturday. Sydney Fish Market with Michelle, Andrea, Tim and Eric. Fresh Fish, chips, and wine.

Monday: Bike Ride up to Freshwater, Curl Curl and North Manly
Monday late afternoon - Stand Up Paddle from North Stein to Shelly Beach and back.
(That's us on the left)

I thought I might get cold from the wind so wore a wetsuit. Stayed dry the whole way over so got hot.

Paddling back to North Stein from Shelly. I ended up going in the water on the trip.
