Sydney Harbor Pub Crawl (on a boat)
On Saturday morning I made it to power yoga (quite the necessary activity on day like the following) and we then set out on the fast ferry plus a cab to get our selves to Darling Harbor. There, we met Eric's co-worker/manager/friend and his girlfriend plus their friends to set sail out on what is known as a "fun boat." And quite the fun boat it was. Along with other people that signed up for the adventure, the big old boat would take us to a handful of stops around Sydney Harbor with pubs that were pre-setup for the boat group to hit up and have a beer. After 30 minutes at the stop the boat chaperone (as we called her) would herd us all back onto the boat and we'd have a drink and do some dancing as we sailed our way to the next stop. I should preface the tee-shirts. To most of the ladies demise the boat had these shirts for us all to wear (an obvious tactic for them to get free advertising). It turned out fun tho and to make it more cute than just a big boxy t-shirt on top of outfits we all (the females that is) obviously picked out for the boat day, we tore them apart, cutting them down to something a little more hip.... at least if we were back in the eighties. We ended up having a ton of fun. It was a nice pub crawl on a boat kind of day, they had great 90's music that got us dancing before we even made it to the first pub stop, the lunch was good and we even got some karaoke in on the way back after the last pub. All in all, quite the fun day. But why do we need my explanation when there is evidence to prove it. Link to view all the photos.
Our group plus a young-ish rugby team that came down to Sydney
for the fun boat adventure. ( reminder: drinking age in Sydney is 18)
