Hello From Christchurch!

Hi! We are in Christchurch this morning (Thursday). Our plane was a bit late yesterday so we arrived to Julie and Jerry's around 5:30pm. Jerry scooped us up at the airport and we met Julie at home. We sat around the kitchen island munching on snacks while she cooked dinner and we planned out some more of our trip. We had a nice home cooked meal and jotted down notes as Jerry threw out ideas of places/pubs/ ect. we must see along our journey.

It's raining this morning but that is not stopping us. Eric and I made our first drive
in the right handed car to the shopping center and we have been here ever since. We loaded up on groceries for our cooler for the week, found a plug that works with my laptop (it hasnt been working since we left with the converter), and are now attacking the mission of a sim card that works with one of our phones. (We will need to be in contact with friends over here that we are meeting up with.) I'm at a coffee shop while he ran back to the Vodaphone store to ask a question. 

Today we are headed to Lake Tekapo and Mt. Cook. We are staying at a cabin on Lake Tekpo and will hopefully have clear skies to see the mountain. We will tell you more about that in our next post. 

Sorry for the lack of photos! We have not had a chance to do any uploading yet. Hopefully that will happen tonight. :-) We took tons!
