Labor Day in North Lake Tahoe

http://www.agatebay.com "The Beatle"
On Sunday afternoon of Labor Day weekend Ferrah and I drove from Los Altos to Reno, NV to pick up Eric at the airport on his return leg from Dave's bachelor party in Vegas. I'd never been to Reno before and it wasn't that bad of a drive. Quite faded from the weekend Eric was still a trooper and happy to enjoy a relaxing holiday with me in this beautiful place, as we wanted to make the most of his Monday off. I found us a one bedroom cabin (called "The Beatle") and surprised him with  it as well as the location which was right across the street from the lake and a great restaurant on the water, called Garwoods, I had discovered with Nicky earlier in the year.    The little cabin was fully fenced in so perfect for Ferrah and future trips back in both in the winter and summer. We enjoyed dinner on the lake, fireworks shot right off the pier where we were and a band in the bar. On Monday we explored the beach with Ferrah and then rented a speed boat for our first adventure ever out on the lake. We really like the Carnelian Bay area of North Lake Tahoe and hope to  one day buy a cabin in the area. On Tuesday morning we explored a little around Tahoe City beach area and had to get back on the road to home as a lot was going down at the factory.

Here is the link to the photos from the weekend plus,  two great songs we learned about at Garwoods.
