This 10 commandments plaque is on the front of the Jonesborough courthouse (The oldest town in Tn.) in memory of Dr. Robert Bachman (a cousin of Grandmother Gloria's). Rob is named after him. (Robert Bachman) The plaque has been a topic of controversy do to having the 10 commandments on a courthouse.

This past weekend was one of the best weekends I have had in a long, long time. It was so centering to be back home in Johnson City with family and our long time friends. To back up, Eric and I flew out of LAX Friday night at midnight. We had long flight and little sleep - but the coming days made up for it. Mom picked us up at the airport in Asheville. We went by Robs house and then all walked to brunch in Asheville. We then drove to Johnson City where we would be staying with our next door neighbors and dearest friends, The Lacy's.
Around sunset Eric and I met up with Tara for drinks at the marina on our lake. I wanted Eric to see what lake living is like in the south. We then had an amazing home cooked southern meal, made with love, by Leslie. It was so fun to have Andrew and his girlfriend there Plus Tara! I always love the blessing, by Mike, too. Later that night Andrew, his gf Brit, Tara and I went downtown to show Eric the "night life."
Sunday morning came quick. Rob, Mom, Eric and I went to Grace Fellowship for church. Around noon all of us plus, Mike, Leslie, Andrew, Victoria, Audie, Chad and the baby went to brunch at Cafe 111: tthe restaurant I had told Eric all about that has southern breakfast plus all you can eat sushi for sunday brunch. We went straight from brunch to Greeneville. I was really looking forward to seeing Grandparents, Aunt Vicki, Hunter and to show Eric Grandmother's house. Sunday Eve, Andrew bbq'd for us at the Lacy's and we even had the pleasure of Rob staying for dinner! Before dinner we played some soccer in the backyard with Victoria and Rob and had to keep up the tradition by taking a walk in "the field" behind the houses (which is now a neighborhood with walking trails.)
Monday morning, Eric, Mom and I went to the storage unit to pack as much as we could into the van she rented and the Explorer. We drove the two vehicles to Bristol to add to the rest of the furniture the movers will be moving to Texas in June. (Mom's house closes June 1) On the way back we got the famous Ridgewood BBQ. Monday eve, Rob came back over from Asheville and we all hung out and played with Audie's baby, Braeden.
Tuesday morning Mom headed back home to Baton Rouge with a car full of boxes (packed to the max with care by Eric). Rob and I did some more storage unit sorting while Eric got some work done and had lunch with Mr. and Mrs. Lacy at home. Rob and I had lunch with my friend Jessica and her 2 little boys and 3 week old baby. Gotta love holding the new baby! Around 2pm, Rob, Eric and I drove back to Asheville. On the way to taking Eric to the airport, the three of us met Eric's mom's childhood friend Ray, and his wife, as Chill's for an early dinner. It was so fun to meet them and hear stories.
After we dropped Eric at the airport, Rob and I got a chance to hang out and catch up. He was preparing for his new job that started today, so we had lots to talk about. After brunch and a little shopping on Wed. morning I headed to the airport myself. Made it back safe and sound and happy to be back with E, but missed everyone as soon as I left.
