Chloe's 6th Week & First overnight trip 10/18 - 10/25

Hi there, Guess what. I am 6 weeks old now. Wow! I am really starting to show some personality these days.

On Saturday Morning Mommy and Daddy couldn't decide what to do with me but knew they wanted to do something fall like and had been wanting to get down to Big Sur to take their annual anniversary picture with their wedding redwoods. They had wanted to take me to a cabin there but earlier in the week they discovered everything was full. They finally decided on  Carmel-by-the-sea (its only 1h20m away) and so we packed up the car for my very first overnight trip and off we went. We didn't get there till 4pm but that was okay cause I don't have a whole lot of energy yet being so little. We stayed at the Monte Verde Inn and it was right by the beach so we all walked down for sunset and my very first visit to the beach. It was Ferrah's first time doing something fun like the dog beach since I was born, too. Before and after the beach we stopped at the Inn's wine and cheese hour. (5-7:30). It was really nice, I was so sweet and just sat on Daddy and Mommy's lap. It made the other guests talk about when their babies were as little as me. They liked that. After the beach, we went back and listened to the a guy strum his guitar and talked to some more guests. It was nice to get out of the house and sit outside in the pleasant sea air. Even though I was dressed for a snow storm, it was actually quite nice out. Mommy and Daddy were talking with a Scottish man from Boston wearing shorts and flip flops and they all  laughed because I could have been at the top of the mountain, a snowstorm in Boston or at  the beach in Cali and would have been in the same outfit. Mommy and Daddy thought we would go out to dinner after but it turned out it was cozy enough just hanging in the hotel room with me and watching the original jurasic park. Daddy went out for takeout at our favorite Greek Place in town. He said it was "hopping" when he got there, so a good thing that we didnt take me. That's funny Daddy, I  bet I would have liked hopping... cause I do like bouncing.

On Sunday we took Ferrah back to the beach and then drove to Big Sur for Mommy and Daddy's belated anniversary visit. I slept the whole way to Big Sur so I will have to check out the views another time, but when we got there I got to go down into the Redwoods at Riverside Campground for the first time.  I got to meet their friend Pam (I call her Pam Gram) and then we all went to lunch at Roadhouse BBQ. It was so  nice and warm outside. A man was grilling steak and had local beers on tap so Daddy seemed very happy. I was very happy because Pam Gram gave me a bottle and then I got to cuddle on her lap and look at Mommy and Daddy across the table. I really liked sitting outside in Big Sur. I can see why Mommy and Daddy like it so much. It was so peaceful and smelled so fresh and clean.

After lunch we dropped off Pam and then the three of us went to trees where Mommy and Daddy got married. I was also very happy and content walking around the forest there. We didn't stay long because another family was camping on the wedding spot, but they were nice and snapped a quick photo for us! Mommy was happy about that after cause she was nervous about interrupting their trip for a photo, but Daddy asked them and it was okay.  And that was it. We drove home right after that, Mommy sat in the back with me and Ferrah in the front and I slept the entire way. Well except for when we stopped for me to nurse. Baby's gotta eat!

Till next time! Until then, check out my photos and videos from the week.

Love, Chloƫ
