Hope everyone had a happy Easter Weekend. I was thinking of Mom and Rob and all our family on Sunday and remembering all the fun family Easter Sundays we had over the years. I look forward to the days we can spend it together again.
Eric and I made it to the second service at the Agape Spiritual Center, as the Sunrise service we made it to was actually full (believe it or not) and we opted out of sitting in the over flow room to watch it on a TV. We had been looking forward to hearing their International Choir, and it truly ended up being worth the wait.
We headed out to Palm Springs after the service and got to spend some fun time with Finn, Andi and Randy, and Randy's parent's. {Thank you Carol and Dave for a delicious home cooked meal! Your family time is so special to me, as it reminds me so much of our holiday dinners when my Dad was with us. }
In addition to our play time with Finn, we had an earth quake (7.2 mag!), which even Randy's brother and sister in-law got to witness from the east coast, as they were in the middle of a video skype call with their parents. Everything was fine, but we definitely all had adrenaline running through us for a while after it was over. This was the first earth quake I had experienced while standing outside. (3 have been on the second and third floor of houses, 1 while driving and 1 while sitting at a restaurant under an outdoor tent.) I am going to have to say, outside in palm springs amongst all one story houses is my choice place to be.
Random thought I just remembered... before we left for the day yesterday at 5:30 am (for the Sunrise Service and heading on to Palm Springs) I put the collars back on the cat and dog (Eric and I often take them off when we are giving them good cuddles') specifically thinking about how if we had an earth quake and we were not home they should have their ID tags on, in case it was one where they got loose. I know, a bit extreme, but look at that, they were home all alone, with an earth quake. I digress.
Included are a couple pictures and a video from the swimming pool. Andi takes such great pictures these days, so I only snapped a couple with my point and shoot! We'll all be waiting for hers. :-)
Love and miss you guys,
Ashley
P.S. Make sure to watch video in 480p (it's a drop down option in bottom right corner of video screen. It will show up after you start to play video.) You can also watch in full screen if your computer can handle it.

ReplyDeleteSuper cute! Love the "Lion King" sound track! And the title overlay... I'm not sure I can do that -- or at least I'm not sure I know how. But I like it a lot, and will need to try to figure that out for next time! Also, how do I include a link to your specific post, like you did to mine?
